Join us in celebrating our 11th Annual Peace Walk & Community Resource Fair on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Fred Roberts Park in South Central Los Angeles!  As we celebrate our 12^th anniversary, we especially remember the life of Laura Sanchez, who was ruthlessly murdered on March 18, 2007 in front of her home. After more than a decade of working tirelessly in her memory, L.A.U.R.A. continues to advocate on behalf of victims of violence and community members who desire a safe and peaceful home to raise their families. L.A.U.R.A. also inspires and motivates our next generation to get involved, seek higher education, and actively improve the community while developing their emotional skills and creative talents.

L.A.U.R.A. seeks to walk alongside families in our community who are traumatized as a result of exposure to violence. Year after year, over a thousand local residents attend our peace walk and resource fair to break the cycle of violence. We stand in support of our community members and those who have been harmed by the violence in our communities. Our event celebrates the resilience of our community as we honor the families of victims of homicide who have overcome tremendous tragedies and obstacles.

We ask that you consider supporting L.A.U.R.A. and this worthwhile event. Your support shows that every life is precious and that each member of this community deserves safety, support, a peaceful living environment, and opportunities to reach their full potential. Your support will have great impact in restoring hope and dreams to a place where people have been marginalized for generations. All net proceeds from the event go directly to support L.A.U.R.A.’s activities throughout the year.
