A Pre-Thanksgiving Thanks to Our Supporters

As we head toward Thanksgiving, a holiday based on the concept of gratitude, I want to express my profound gratitude to those of you who have supported and encouraged our work; I thank you on behalf of all the L.A.U.R.A. (Life After Uncivil Ruthless Acts) organization members.

We have accomplished a great deal this year, with your help support, we encourage you to visit our web page and see for yourself, some of our accomplishments (www.LauraLA.org). We hope to have an even more impactful year in 2015. Please include L.A.U.R.A in your year-end giving. Whether it’s $5 or $10,000, we will put every cent to work in enhancing the quality of life, empowering youth, victim-survivors, and the families of South Central, Los Angeles.

LAURA is an all volunteer base organization. So on this special day of Thanksgiving we want to make sure we send out a huge THANK YOU to our board of directors, members, and all our community volunteers. Much gratitude to our donors and sponsors – without you LAURA would not be here.

A heartfelt thank you to our Elected Officials who supported us with our community Thanksgiving turkeys!
Because of you, LAURA was able to pass out 118 turkeys:
-Councilman Current Price – 48 families
-Mayor Eric Garcetti – 40 families
-Senator Ricardo Lara – 25 families
-Assemblymember Reggie Jones-Sawyer 15 families
